The lighter color fools you, this wine looks like a swan but really is a beast.  White pepper, ripe red currant and pie cherry aromas that turn to red cherry licorice with iron and green herbal notes in your mouth.  The mouth-watering finish makes you crave a hearty poultry dish like Peking Duck!

A combination of stewed red plum and blackberry jam, with peppercorn and a touch of rosemary and dill on the nose.  On your mouth, the wine is very full-bodied, but surprisingly soft and complex with added flavors of black olive and cocoa.

(85% Syrah / 15% Grenache)

Woodsmoke and savory cured meats fill the glass from the Syrah, but the 15% of Grenache is definitely there, toning down the dark, black licorice and blackberry fruits with a touch of strawberry and some cracked green peppercorns. Almost a glassy texture in the mouth with a tangy cola note and coating your cheeks with moderate fruit tannins.

(50% Grenache - 25% Syrah - 25% Mourvedre)

Aromas of tropical punch and aromatic flowers, violets, lilac, and white flowers with just a touch of white pepper and ground coffee.  Full-bodied red plum and raspberry in the mouth and refreshingly light and lively in the mid-palate with a savory, earthy tang that hangs on in the finish.

Smoked and grilled meats overlaying blackberry cobbler on the nose, this is what makes Washington Syrah sing, a meeting of Hermitage and The Barossa Valley in your glass.  Provencal herbs and violets, root beer and dried black currants fill your mouth and linger on the pallet long after you’ve swallowed. There is a lightness and balance to the wine despite being so full-bodied, it’s easy to see why this is the flagship offering.
