The lighter color fools you, this wine looks like a swan but really is a beast.  White pepper, ripe red currant and pie cherry aromas that turn to red cherry licorice with iron and green herbal notes in your mouth.  The mouth-watering finish makes you crave a hearty poultry dish like Peking Duck!

(50% Grenache - 25% Syrah - 25% Mourvedre)

Aromas of tropical punch and aromatic flowers, violets, lilac, and white flowers with just a touch of white pepper and ground coffee.  Full-bodied red plum and raspberry in the mouth and refreshingly light and lively in the mid-palate with a savory, earthy tang that hangs on in the finish.

On palate you get rhubarb, strawberry, gentle minerals, salted watermelon, white peach, lemon zest, Gravenstein apple peel. The acid is high, the concentration and intensity high, the body medium plus, the finish long. Great balance between tart, playful acid, bright minerality and lovely cherry and stone fruit. On the nose, it really smells like a cherry cheesecake without being cloying. The note on the nose alone makes this a keeper.

Columbia Valley 

Blackberry, nori, toasted meringue, black cherry, cocoa, coffee, lilac, game. High acid, long umami finish, full body, dark fruited, leathery intensity and concentration.  The tannins are silky but high.  It has just incredible, plush, dark fruit with such concentration that this stands out from so many other Washington wines.  

(85% Syrah / 15% Grenache)

Red cherry, black raspberry, pepper, strawberry jam, black plum conserve, wheat bread. Super plush palate with soft fruit, medium tannins and high acidity. The finish is extensive, body medium +, and all with soft, fruity concentration that gets thicker and juicier after the wine opens.

On the nose notes of Coffee, sweet blackberry pie, blueberry, nori, grape sucker, cinnamon, cream cheese frosting. Beautiful fruit balanced with high acid. The tannins are firm but edging on silky with dusty blackberry fruit. It has a medium body, good concentration and intensity.
